Notes: This came from the sharp_teeth horror comment fic meme, however, it's more introspective than horrifying so I just posted it here.
Spoilers: Mostly for 6X03 (The Third Man).



There are reasons angels aren't supposed to kill their own...

Castiel is back in heaven after dealing with Balthazar. He stares at his hands and can almost see the blood on them. The blood of his brothers. He thought all the emotions had been purged when he returned home, but they hadn't.

Guilt was strong. It remained deep within his soul.

He is jealous of Sam Winchester because Sam's brother welcomed him back while none of Castiel's brothers would even listen to him.

There are reasons angels aren't supposed to kill their own... They're family.
